“Leading in the Aftermath:  Advanced Leadership Strategies – Pt 1 Workplace Politics, and the Emotionally Intelligent Leader.   This 24-hour module is a high-level leadership conversation and concentration on understanding workplace dynamics.  We will focus on best practices and strategies to be a credible leader that can be trusted, and we will review Coach’s Lisa book and workbook “10 Traits of Counterfeit Leadership” where we will focus on:

  • Understanding the reality of politics in the workplace.
  • Learning the levels of Workplace Politics that are in operation at all times.
  • Understand the need for right character as a leader.
  • Discuss traits of fraudulent leadership behavior that must be avoided at all costs.
  • Develop strategies to overcome the “counterfeit complex” and influence people from a place of confidence.
  • Recognizing the political opponents in the workplace.
  • Understanding the games in play and how you should respond.
  • Developing the ability to effectively manage emotions and their impact on relationships with others.
  • Implementing the 4-step focus of professionalizing conflict and improving productivity in dynamic work environments.
  • Understanding the four political behavior styles in the workplace.
  • Learning to use leverage to maintain our character and integrity, Attendees will learn to recognize how to work effectively in highly political work environments and not stall and hinder their success. 
  • Discerning where the real power is when change is taking place.
  • The characteristics of the emotionally intelligent leader.
  • Review each participant’s Emotional Intelligence assessment.
